Cookies Policy of Riotters
Last updated
Introduction
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, used on riotters.com (the “Site”) by Riotters Sp. z o.o. (“we”, “us”), what each one does, and how you control them.
Cookies that aren’t strictly necessary, for analytics, marketing and embedded content, are only used if you allow them. When you first scroll the Site, a banner asks for your choice. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is similar, but what it holds stays in your browser and isn’t sent to us. Some are set by us (first-party); others by the services we use (third-party).
Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These keep the Site working and secure, so they don’t need your consent.
- riotters:consent (local storage, Riotters): remembers your cookie choice and when you made it. Kept for 12 months, then we ask again.
- riotters:sound (local storage, Riotters): remembers whether you turned the interface sounds on or off. Kept until you clear your browser data.
- Vercel BotID (Vercel Inc.): checks that messages sent through our contact forms come from a person, not a bot. It runs when you use those forms and is used only to keep out spam.
- payload-token (Riotters): signs our editors in to the content panel. Only set for editors; expires after 2 hours.
- __prerender_bypass (Riotters): lets our editors preview unpublished pages. Only set for editors; ends when the browser closes.
Analytics (only with your consent)
Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited, shows us which pages are visited and how people find the Site. It is loaded through Google Tag Manager, which sets no cookies of its own.
- _ga: tells visitors apart. 2 years.
- _ga_<ID>: keeps track of your visit. 2 years.
Marketing (only with your consent)
Google Ads, provided by Google Ireland Limited, measures which of our ads lead to visits and enquiries.
- _gcl_au: links visits to our ad campaigns. 90 days.
- _gcl_aw: records the ad you came from, when you arrive from one of our ads. 90 days.
Google may also set cookies on its own domains; see How Google uses cookies.
FullContact, provided by FullContact, Inc., recognises returning visitors and may match a visit to a person or company profile it holds. It sets its own cookies, described in FullContact’s privacy policy.
Embedded content (only with your consent)
Calendly, provided by Calendly LLC, runs the calendar for booking a call. With your consent it opens in a popup on the Site and may set its own cookies there, as described in Calendly’s privacy notice. Without it, Calendly opens in a new tab, where it asks for your consent itself.
Analytics without cookies
Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and measures performance in aggregate. It sets no cookies and doesn’t track you across sites, so it runs without consent.
Your Choices
Use Cookie settings in the footer to change or withdraw your consent at any time; it is as easy as giving it. Withdrawing stops the tools above from loading and deletes the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies on our domain.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary ones may stop parts of the Site from working. To find out how, see:
- Apple Safari
- Google Chrome
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Opera
- Android (Chrome)
- iPhone or iPad (Chrome)
- iPhone or iPad (Safari)
To stop Google Analytics on every site you visit, use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Changes to This Policy
When the tools we use change, we update this policy and the date above, and ask for your consent again where it’s needed.
Cookies on Valessa
Valessa, our 3D product visualizer, asks for your consent before setting any marketing cookies. Until you click Accept in the cookie banner, no marketing cookies are placed on your device. Declining does not limit the app in any way.
LinkedIn Insight Tag (marketing)
When you accept, we load the LinkedIn Insight Tag, provided by LinkedIn Corporation (for users in the EU/EEA: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company). We use it for marketing and advertising purposes: measuring the performance of our LinkedIn ad campaigns, understanding how visitors arrive at Valessa, and showing more relevant ads on LinkedIn to people who have visited the app (retargeting). Details of the cookies it sets are listed in LinkedIn's Cookie Policy, and you can opt out of LinkedIn ad retargeting at any time via LinkedIn's guest controls. To withdraw the consent you gave on Valessa, clear site data for Valessa in your browser settings — the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Cookieless analytics
Valessa also uses Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and performance. It sets no cookies and does not track individuals across sites, so it runs without consent.
Privacy Policy
For how we handle personal data, including data collected through cookies, see our Privacy Policy.
